Rachella takes its name from Rachel, our founder's middle name. It's personal by design. Founded in New York City by Menucha Kamish, Rachella began with a simple frustration: she had to choose between modest and fashion-forward, and rarely found both in one piece. We exist to close that gap with fashion-forward modest pieces made primarily from plant-based fibers.
Every piece starts with design. We create clothing you would choose on style alone, then make it in plant-based fibers, leaving polyester out. Where a piece needs stretch for fit and movement, we use no more than 10% elastane, and only where it serves a real purpose.
We work with a small group of manufacturing partners, each sampled and vetted before production begins. We only move forward with partners who meet our standards for quality and care.
We know that truly sustainable choices in fashion are not always easy to source or to trace. We see this as an ongoing commitment, not a finished claim. Our approach is to be specific about what goes into each piece and to keep improving as we grow.
